In 1997 Manish Arora launched his own label “Manish Arora” and started retailing in India.Three years later, Manish participated in the first-ever India Fashion Week held in New Delhi and represented India at the Hong Kong Fashion Week.
He is known for a rich palette of psychedelic colors and kitsch motifs in garments that combine traditional Indian crafts like embroidery, appliqué, and beading with Western silhouettes.
On 16 February 2016, Manish Arora was awarded the ‘Chevalier de la Legion
d’Honneur’, by François Richier, French ambassador to India.
Manish is the 1st Indian in the Fashion Industry to be awarded this honor.
Wendell Rodricks began his career in fashion after a successful tenure in hotel management.Trained in Los Angeles & Paris established his own label in 1990.
Wendell’s first collection from Goa earned him the title ‘Guru of Minimalism’ and his next collection in 1995 pioneered the concept of ‘resort wear’ and ‘eco-friendly’ garments at a time the words were not yet coined in India.
Wendell has written for magazines, coffee table books, and anthologies.

Manish Malhotra is one of India’s most successful fashion designers.He is known in the Indian film industry for his different style and his ability to envision a ‘look’ for the character.
In 2005, he began a talk show named The Manish Malhotra Show.
He was also asked to design clothes for dancer Michael Jackson when he visited India for a Bollywood show.
Ritu Kumar is the largest & most respected designer-wear brand in India today. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the young designer from Kolkata is making waves in the Indian fashion horizon. He entered into films with his costumes designed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, ‘Black’ which bagged the national award in 2005.
Mukherjee also aspires to be a food writer and to conduct a food show.
He was declared the best Designer of India at the MTV Lycra style awards and won the ‘Society’ Achievers award for the best new Indian designer.
He was requested to showcase his collections at the prestigious Oxford University Annual black tie charity dinner fashion show.
